Ron Paul being stonewalled for NY ballot
Posted by: Mike in Elections, New York, Republicans
Ron Paul 2008 thinks that they are being shrugged off the the New York Republican committee, at the request of representatives of competing candidates. They are attempting to collect 7,500 signatures from New Yorkers to ensure Paul’s name makes it on the ballot.
Here’s an email the campaign sent out:
November 15, 2007
We need help getting signatures to get Ron Paul on the Ballot in NY.
Ron could get on the ballot through an administrative process which we filed for but we are being stonewalled.
We cannot take the risk of other candidates’ people trying to keep us off the ballot. We have made the decision to gather about 7500, which is 50% over the minimum to get Ron on the Ballot.

A call to the campaign revealed that no one there knew what this was all abut, so I’m guessing they sent it out just to New Yorkers for the purpose signatures.
