Stephen Colbert Stephen Colbert in the White House? That would be interesting. During his most recent appearance on the Colbert Report, Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Republican party presidential hopeful, asked Stephen Colbert if he’d like to be his running mate. Somewhat jokingly, maybe, but it was apparent that there was some sort of truthiness to his request. Colbert managed to brush it off and dismiss it jokingly, but how serious was Huckabee? What if Colbert really did run as Vice President? If Stephen Colbert ran as Vice President, whomever he would be running with would be extremely lucky. It would be like a super awesome Colbert Bump, because Colbert would have almost his entire enormous fanbase pushing to see him in the White House. If Mike Huckabee was serious, than he is a smart man. Having Colbert as his running mate would enormously increase his popularity, and I’m sure it would garner media attention. Now that we’ve put the pressure on Colbert, it’s up to him to make the decision. I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see Colbert in the White House.
