On April 1st, 2008, President George W. Bush voted unanimously to extend the Patriot Act to include the removal and censorship of potential terror-affiliated websites. "Information is moving -- you know, nightly news is one way, of course, but it's also moving through the blogosphere and through the Internets." The United States government strives to protect that information, but must sometimes take action to allow other information to flow, and stop terror information from moving, as to protect the freedom of speech of the internet.

This is just another of the many ways the United States works to combat terrorism.
